Reaching Gwernymynydd by road is straightforward, thanks to its location on the A494, a key route through North East Wales.

Here’s how you can get here from various nearby areas:

From Mold: Gwernymynydd is just west of Mold. Take the A494 directly out of Mold heading towards Loggerheads and Ruthin. It’s a short 5-minute drive.

From Holywell or Flint: Head south via the A5026 or A548 to connect with the A55. Exit at junction 33B for the A5119 toward Mold, then follow signs for the A494 westbound to Gwernymynydd.

From Buckley: Drive west on the A549 to Mold, then take the A494 westbound.

From Ruthin: Take the A494 eastbound directly to Gwernymynydd. It’s a scenic route through the Clwydian Range and takes about 20 minutes.

From Denbigh: Head south on the A525 to Ruthin, then join the A494 eastbound.
